Kurt Steger, a sculptor and a recent transplant to the area, shares his reflections on the important role artists can play in community building, as well as the impact his studio presence has had on his neighbors. He also gives his perspective on how can artists help and what role they can play in fighting back displacement, such as advocating for more art in local schools, and how this can help foster a more community-driven space for art in the community.
